Press TV has conducted an interview with Rodney Shakespeare, political activist and commentator, London about the issue of Germany under fire over record weapons sales to Arab states involved in human rights abuses, ignoring popular uprisings against these ruling monarchs.

- I wanted to get your take on the German sales to these countries. Does that not put Merkel in an odd position especially when it comes to this Arab Spring?

- It’s not just an odd position, it’s an outrageous hypocrisy and it tells you the truth about the Western governments all of whom preach democracy. They don’t have it at home, they are now controlled by an elite; and abroad. They support vicious totalitarian slimy regimes particularly in the Persian Gulf.

And behind that policy is the fact that the western countries are controlled by Zionism.

The world is waking up to this now. Germany and the UK and France are being exposed as supporters of the cruelest regimes in the world just as the USA is.

It’s an absolute outrage that we should have anything to do with the UK putting in poison gas grenades and the rest of it for Bahrain; and now we’ve got the Germans who are not only giving arms to the UAE, but who has given Israel all its submarines with their nuclear missiles? Germany has. This is the truth. And what’s more, Germany as well as that, is one of the worst of the spying countries; the same as my country the UK.

All of these governments should be overthrown. And the world is waking up - they’re hypocrites, they’re liars, they’re not democrats, they’re not even democratic in their own countries and abroad they support these vicious autocratic regimes.

- Is it that these Western governments are actually slaves to the arms industry?

- They are slaves to the arms industry and in particular they are slaves to international finance capitalism; and even more so they are slaves to Zionism, which controls all of those three.

You see, ultimately what we need now is a revolt against the elites who are failing economically, failing politically and have completely and utterly failed in morality.

Behind all this ultimately is the complete loss of morality. And we’re getting this from the Germans in exactly the same way as we’re getting it from my country the UK and from the USA and of course Israel.

Assassinating people; these countries always at war, always attacking other people - No morality whatsoever.
