Tuition fees protest near government building in Yerevan
Several citizens staged a protest near the government building in Yerevan demanding to review tuition fees which will be increased in a number of universities beginning the new academic year.
The protesters wanted to meet with Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan to hand him over a letter stating their demands. Instead, they were met by Alexander Ghazaryan, head of the department for complaint letters to the government and citizen reception. However, the protesters refused to give him the letter and left the place, saying that they will continue the protests.
