Armenian captive’s relatives demand information about him from ICRC Yerevan Office
Relatives of Armenian captive Hakob Injighulyan have gathered near the Yerevan Office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), demanding exact information about him, Hakob Injighulyan’s cousin, Arman Injighulyan, told Panorama.am.
“As far as I understand, there is no other way to receive information from the ICRC,” he said.
As for the alleged interview of an Azeri TV channel with the Armenian captive, where he says that he allegedly crossed the border into Azerbaijan because “he was tired and did not want to carry out the order of his commander who asked him for water,” Arman Injighulyan said that they all are sure that the soldier was forced into saying it.
Hakob Injighulyan, 22, crossed into Azerbaijan’s territory losing his orientation while carrying out his military duty around 3:00 am on August 8. Azeri media reported on Sunday that Injighulyan was transferred to Baku and was kept at the Defense Ministry.
