Criminal case initiated on fact of Hakob Injighulyan’s not returning back to his military post
A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of Hakob Injighulyan’s not returning back to his military post under Article 365 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
Preliminary investigation findings have not established corpus delicti in Hakob Injighulyan’s actions. It was justified and proved that Injighulyan appeared on the territory under the protection of the Azerbaijani forces exceptionally in the result of losing his bearings on the terrain, and he will not be subject to criminal prosecution upon his repatriation.
An Armenian soldier Hakob Injighulyan, 22, crossed into Azerbaijan’s territory losing his orientation while carrying out his military duty around 3:00 am on August 8.
MoD made a statement yesterday where it expressed its concerns about the fact that as of today ICRC Baku office has not been granted an access to the Armenian citizen kept in Azerbaijani captivity.
