Yerevan mayor orders to ensure free distribution of textbooks to elementary students
Yerevan mayor Taron Margaryan has ordered to ensure free distribution of textbooks to elementary students by August 30.
During a regular consultation meeting on Monday, he also instructed to supply necessary medicines and medical equipment to first aid posts of schools as well as to ensure uninterrupted water and electricity supplies at schools.
Preparatory works have been carried out in Yerevan for the 2013/14 school year.
“All necessary measures should be taken to ensure the safety of children. The capital’s streets, particularly areas near schools should be watched by traffic police between 1 and 30 September,” Taron Margaryan said.
