Hraparak: Agrarian University has not raised tuition fee
Hraparak daily’s correspondent talked to rector of the Armenian State Agrarian University Arshaluys Tarverdyan to find out why the university’s tuition fee has not been raised.
Mr Tarverdyan said: “Of course, universities face various problems and are in different situations, but our university faces an important challenge – the number of students. Most of our students are village residents and their social position does not allow them to pay their tuition fees totally in case the fees are raised. 400-500 students leave the university every year, part of them due to their inability to pay, so, if we raised the tuition fee, we would have a small number of first year students this year.”
