‘‘Yeni Musavat’’: Children of officials who know neither diplomacy nor English work in Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry
Editorial of Azerbaijani "Yeni Musavat" newspaper received a sensational letter disclosing corruption, human resources and arbitrariness in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. The anonymous letter is written by a former employee of this structure.
Serious allegations were sounded in the address of the Deputy Minister Nadir Huseynov and the head of the Personnel Department Elmira Sarijalinskaia,"Children of high-ranking officials, who have no idea about diplomacy and do not know English are hired for a work in the ministry and are appointed to high positions in the embassies."
"The reason is the arbitrariness, injustice and corruption that I have observed in this structure for many years,” the letter says. Former diplomat says in his letter, "Today 90% of the ministry staff is low-quality because the head of the Personnel Department Elmira Sarijalinskaia is taking bribes and is engaged in illegal activities for many years."
Elman Abdullayev spokesman of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told journalists that the article on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan in the newspaper "Yeni Musavat" does not reflect reality.
