Oskanian has no plans to give up parliamentary mandate – Naira Zohrabyan
It is an absolute absurdity, secretary of Prosperous Armenia parliamentary faction Naira Zohrabyan told Panorama.am when asked whether Vartan Oskanian plans to withdraw from the party and will also give up his parliamentary mandate.
Oskanian regularly attends faction meetings, she said. “We hold daily discussions on various issues and Mr Oskanian participates in them actively as he did yesterday.”
Vartan Oskanian left for the United States just after the May 5 Yerevan municipal elections, which caused numerous speculations. Also, Vartan Oskanian’s son, Ara Oskanian, was detained on Aug 29 with his friend on suspicion of drug possession. No criminal case has been instituted. Oskanian and his friend were set free.
