Zhoghovurd: Yezidis emigrate from Armenia because of unemployment
Chairman of the Union of Yezidis of Armenia Aziz Tamoyan told Zhoghovurd daily that Yezidis emigrate from Armenia, equally with Armenians.
“They emigrate because of unemployment and price hikes. They mostly go to Russia, less frequently to France and Germany,” he said.
Tamoyan voiced indignation with the fact that Armenia's National Statistical Service does not present the correct number of people who emigrated from the country. “Figures released by NSS are untrue. The number of Yezidis has decreased almost 50 percent. This is a real figure,” he said.
