U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan: Death of civilians on both sides of contact line is unacceptable
"The death of civilians on the contact line is a great tragedy," U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar told the journalists.
According to the Azerbaijani news agency APA the U.S. Ambassador also stressed, “Therefore, we believe that the conflict cannot last long and should be resolved as soon as possible. We state categorically that deaths of civilians are unacceptable for both sides.”
The ambassador also commented on the newly-appointed OSCE Minsk Group US co-chair James Warlick’s visit to the region: “We are looking forward to his visit to South Caucasus. I know him very well. He is a skilled diplomat. As far as James Warlick is a creative person I am sure he will bring new ideas to the ongoing process.”
