Gabriel Sargissian’s excellent performance in Spanish Club Chess Championship
Leading the Magic Extremadura Team, Olympic champion Gabriel Sargissian had an excellent performance in the Spanish Club Chess Championship that was held in Linares. Sargissian had no defeat, took the first place on the first board leaving behind GMs Dominguez (Cuba), Bacrot (France), Navara (Czech Republic), Bruzon (Cuba), Nisipeanu (Romania), Anton Guijarro (Spain), Spraggett (Canada).
In the last round Gabriel ended in a draw against GM David Navara and scored 4 points out of 7. Magic Extremadura took a victory over Sabadell Club with 3,5:2,5 and took the fourth place.
Sestao Club became the champion of Spain.
