Karine Minasyan: Decision on entry into Customs Union confirmed by government
The Armenian government confirmed the decision on carrying out preparatory works for the entry to the Customs Union, following the statement made by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in Moscow on September 3 on Armenia’s decision to join the Customs Union.
Armenian Deputy Economy Minister Karine Minasyan told reporters after the cabinet meeting that a negotiation group will be formed by the instruction of the Armenian and Russian Presidents to carry out preparatory works for Armenia’s entry to the Customs Union.
According to her, 7 working groups will be formed to discuss the possibilities of Armenia’s cooperation with the Customs Union.
The Armenian side plans to thoroughly study all aspects of the issue and to reveal the existing challenges, Ms Minasyan added.
