Navasardyan: Term ‘impossible’ does not exist in politics
The current circumstances and the geopolitical situation make it necessary for Armenia to deepen its relations with Russia, particularly in view of the fact that if the Syrian conflict continues, Russia will be the only state capable of resisting it, Arman Navasardyan, former Armenian ambassador to Lebanon, told a news conference in Yerevan.
Navasardyan noted that Armenia should deepen its ties with both Russia and Europe.
“These processes should go in parallel,” he said, adding that term ‘impossible’ does not exist in politics.
“The outcome depends on the negotiation process.”
According to the former envoy, Armenia chose the Customs Union under Russian pressure. “Russia wishes to have integration system and Armenia is very important for Russia in that term.”
