Zhoghovurd: Vahram Shahinyan to be appointed Prosecutor General
The appointment of the new Prosecutor General remains in the focus of attention of the public and political circles, Zhoghovurd says. Although rumors were circulating in the National Assembly and Prosecutor General’s Office last week that Yerevan Prosecutor Hrachya Badalyan will be appointed Prosecutor General, nevertheless, he is now viewed as an unlikely candidate. According to rumors, head of Armenia’s Special Investigation Service Vahram Shahinyan will be appointed to that post, while former Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan will head a new investigation service, the paper says.
