Vardan Petrosyan: Only me and Armenian PM can joke on migration
Famed satirist, actor and script writer Vardan Petrosyan says he will join protests against price hikes if they resume.
“In my performances, I show our realities in a satirical mirror. I praise those young people who were protesting transportation fare hikes,” the actor told a news conference in Yerevan.
Mr Petrosyan noted that beginning October 1 people can watch his new performance “Every Monday” at Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theater.
The actor said in his usual joking manner that “despite current rates of migration,” halls are always crowded during his performances.
“The topic of migration is very difficult. No one can joke on this topic. Only me and the Armenian Prime Minister can do it,” the satirist said ironically.
