Zhoghovurd: David Harutyunyan may be appointed Cassation Court chairman
Sources in government say member of RPA parliamentary faction David Harutyunyan may be appointed chairman of Armenia’s Cassation Court, Zhoghovurd daily reports.
According to rumors circulating in the National Assembly, NA deputy speaker Hermine Naghdalyan may replace Harutyunyan as head of the Armenian delegation in PACE. The paper reminds that this January Ms Naghdalyan was awarded the title of honorary member of PACE. Besides, she is the only Armenian delegate that headed a PACE committee.
Secretary of RPA parliamentary faction Hovhannes Sahakyan, a lawyer, is the key candidate to replace Harutyunyan as chairman of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.
