Traian Hristea: EU not turning away from Armenia
The European Union is not turning away from Armenia. But we wish to know in what ways we should continue to work together, head of the EU delegation to Armenia, Traian Hristea, said during the foundation laying ceremony of Bagratashen checkpoint, when commenting on Armenia’s decision to join the Customs Union.
Mr Hristea noted that the European Union respects sovereign and independent decisions of its partners.
According to him, the European Union will continue to assist Armenia in the modernization of its border infrastructures and border management network and in bringing them in line with the European standards.
“I am happy to mark the start of this ambitious program,” he added.
