Boat sinks off Indonesian coast; 21 bodies found
Twenty-one bodies have been recovered from a boat that sank off the coast of Indonesia on Friday, CNN reported.
The bodies of 14 adults and seven children were recovered off the coast of Cianjur in West Java, according to an official from the National Search and Rescue agency in Jakarta. The official did not have information on where the boat was traveling or who owned it.
There was no information about survivors.
The incident happened three days before new Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott was to arrive in Indonesia for a two-day visit. The issue of boats carrying asylum seekers from Indonesia to Australia has been a source of tension between the two countries.
