Zurabyan: Europe will not give up Armenia
European integration was very important for Armenia and it could drastically change the situation in the country, leading the development in a different way, Ararat Zurabyan, member of the Armenian National Movement party’s initiative group, told a press conference in Yerevan.
“Europe will not give up Armenia,” Mr Zurabyan said when asked whether Armenia can cooperate with the European Union in a new format given the fact that the Armenian authorities have said that they are ready to continue the cooperation with the EU and rate as important the political aspect of the Association Agreement.
According to him, however, the relations between Armenia and the EU will develop at a slower pace.
“We shall live and we shall see. Definitely, the negotiated Association Agreement will not be signed. Some agreement may be signed nevertheless. I think the authorities are negotiating to achieve something,” Zurabyan said.
