We can prevent a war only if we are ready for it. Since a possibility of war remains, military exercises are a very important event for our country. With every military exercise we take another step towards war prevention, David Jamalyan, Advisor to the Armenian Defense Minister, told Panorama.am commenting on the ‘Echo 2013’ strategic command and staff exercise being held in Armenia. 

“There is another important circumstance: our state administration must be ready to work in a coordinated way, like a watch mechanism, in the event of war. This exercise is aimed at preparing our country for possible military aggression,” Jamalyan said.

The expert stressed that every senior official must have a clear idea of his functions in case of military operations, and must know them exactly, like a succession of steps.
