Zhoghovurd: Court of Cassation chairman not to return from leave
Chairman of Armenia’s Court of Cassation Arman Mkrtumyan went on a short leave yesterday, and in all probability will not return, Zhoghovurd reports.
“Following the scandal over enforcement agents, Mkrtumyan’s resignation is considered a resolved issue. Moreover, the investigation into those cases is in full swing, while head of the Judicial Department Misak Martirosyan has not yet been arrested only because the threads seem to be leading to Mkrtumyan,” according to the paper.
The paper notes that the most likely candidate for Court of Cassation chairman is head of Armenia's Central Electoral Commission Tigran Mukuchyan.
