Turkey’s attempts to present events ‘upside down’ will not succeed – Gagik Minasyan
The ratification of the Armenian-Turkish Protocols failed because of the Turkish side, a fact which is well known to the international community. Moreover, leaders of the countries that assisted the process and were present at the signing ceremony of the Protocols in Switzerland have repeatedly said that the process failed through the fault of Turkey, Republican MP Gagik Minasyan told Panorama.am when commenting on the recent statement of the Turkish Foreign Minister.
Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu said that the Armenian-Turkish relations could be better but the decision of Armenia’s Constitutional Court caused problems in that process.
“Turkey tries to present the events ‘upside down’ to people who are well acquainted with the process. Turkey’s attempts to lay the problem on Armenia will not succeed,” Mr Minasyan said.
According to the MP, the foreign policy course declared by Turkey failed and the motto “zero problems with neighbors” turned into a motto “zero relations with neighbors.”
The accusations voiced by Turkey are unfounded, Minasyan added.
