Vardan Minasyan resigns as Armenian football team coach
Armenian national football team head coach Vardan Minasyan has refused to work with the team in the new qualifying cycle. He announced this in his interview with the official website of the Football Federation of Armenia.
“Today I met with FFA chairman Ruben Hayrapetyan. We discussed a number of issues regarding the Armenian national team. The FFA chief proposed me to continue working with the team in the new qualifying cycle, but I rejected the proposal and thanked him for his trust. I would be honored to continue working with the team, but at this moment I prefer another way to continue my career as a coach. I have received a number of proposals, in particular from abroad and plan to consider them,” Vardan Minasyan said.
Minasyan’s contract with the Armenian national team expires on October 31, 2013.
