Leader of National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan was offered citizenship and complex treatment in Belgium and the Netherlands, but he refused. Hayrikyan said this at a press conference held today in Yerevan.
Hayrikyan had medical treatment in Belgium and the Netherlands following an attempt upon his life on January 31, 2013. On March 28, the Armenian government took a decision to allocate AMD 20.5 million for his treatment abroad.
Hayrikyan added that he needs to go abroad once every three months for medical checkup and treatment.
