WHO: Armenia’s medical aid situation is good
One year ago, I participated in a study conducted in Armenia’s provinces aimed at assessing the accessibility of medical services. I visited three provinces and I can say that the system works – the utmost is done to ensure quality medical aid for every Armenian citizen, World Health Organization (WHO) expert Oleg Shvabski said at the Yerevan-hosted seminar on “Improvement of the Quality of Antenatal and Postnatal Aid and Redirection System.”
According to the expert, the Armenia’s medical aid situation is good compared to other countries and the country has certain achievements in this area.
“In our opinion, giving birth is safe in Armenia. Newborns and kids below one year receive appropriate aid and there are quality specialists and modern technologies in the country. In short, Armenia looks very confident compared to a number of other countries,” Mr Shvabski concluded.
