Haykakan Zhamanak: Economic entities will buy new cash registers
A large group of Armenian taxpayers will have to install the so-called “new” cash registers from November 1. These are cash registers worth AMD 369,600, which the government foisted on economic entities.
According to Haykakan Zhamanak, by a September 5, 2013 decision of the government, all economic entities which are liable to VAT and importers with an average monthly turnover of AMD 10 million must use new cash registers beginning November. In July, when the cash registers were just being installed, the government promised that large entities will buy them for AMD 369,600, but they will cost cheaper for small entities. With only 6 days remaining until November 1, “smaller” entities, whose number reaches 4,000, still buy cash registers for AMD 369,600.
