Haykakan Zhamanak: Alexanyan to construct Yerevan City supermarket in place of Erebuni market
MP Samvel Alexanyan has bought Aresh (Erebuni) market and plans to construct another Yerevan City supermarket in its place, Haykakan Zhamanak reports.
Traders have to vacate the area by December 31.
Dozens of villagers sell their crops in Aresh market, retail traders and shop owners sell their goods there. It is unclear what they will be engaged in beginning January 2014. Meanwhile, the number of Samvel Alexanyan’s Yerevan City supermarkets will increase to 9, not counting the Covered Market and the Gourmand supermarket, the paper notes.
