Serzh Sargsyan receives Greek National Defense Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos
President Serzh Sargsyan received today a delegation headed by the Minister of National Defense of Greece Dimitris Avramopoulos, which has arrived in Armenia on official visit.
The parties stressed the importance of the friendly Armenian-Greek relations, which have strong historical and cultural roots, and hailed bilateral cooperation in the political, defense, military, educational and cultural areas.
The President of Armenia and Minister of National Defense of Greece highlighted the significance of the similar approaches of the two countries on different issues of the international agenda and cooperation of the two countries in the framework of international organizations.
The parties concurred that potential for cooperation between Armenia and Greece is larger than that used today, which, according to the interlocutors, means that it is necessary to further efforts aimed at the expansion and deepening of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
The President of Armenia and Minister of National Defense of Greece also discussed regional problems and challenges, the presidential press service reported.
