A book of condolences in remembrance of Poland’s first non-communist Prime Minister Tadeusz Mazowiecki has been opened at the Embassy of Poland in Armenia, the Embassy’s press service said.
The prominent Polish politician has died at the age of 86 on 18 October, 2013.
“A man who had the courage to act wisely during Poland’s crucial moments has died. We say thank you,” said Polish President Bronisław Komorowski, who appointed Tadeusz Mazowiecki his advisor in October 2010. “Mazowiecki was one of the founding fathers of our freedom and independence,” added Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski speaking to the Polish media.
The book of condolences will be open from 11:00 am to 16:00 pm at the Embassy of Poland in Armenia, Hanrapetutyan, 44a, Yerevan.
