President Sargsyan receives Co-Chair of EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received Co-Chair of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee Milan Cabrnoch on Wednesday.
The parties discussed issues related to Armenia-European Union cooperation. The President underscored that active dialogue and contacts with the partners from the European community are having a positive impact on Armenia’s rapprochement with Europe. Serzh Sargsyan underscored that Armenia is determined to continue institutional reforms, which constitute the core of Armenia-EU relations, and is resolute to build a modern competitive state based on the European values. He said that on that way, we expect assistance of our European partners.
Milan Cabrnoch noted that the European Union considers Armenia an important country within the Eastern Partnership and will continue its assistance and cooperation for the development of democracy, human rights and the rule of law. He stressed the importance of future active work of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee for deepening relations with Armenia.
The interlocutors also discussed regional issues and the NK peace process, the presidential press service reported.
