Shahgeldyan: Entry into Customs Union is in Armenia’s national interests
Armenia’s entry into the Customs Union is in the national (economic, trade) and security interests of our country, deputy chairman of Orinats Yerkir Party, secretary of Orinats Yerkir parliamentary faction Mher Shahgeldyan told a press conference in Yerevan.
“Membership to the Customs Union will create an opportunity for developing trade relations in a common space,” the MP said, adding that about 2.5 million Armenians live in Russia, most of them are businessmen and their potential will create good opportunities for our economic development.
Meanwhile, the politician said that Armenia should continue to develop its relations with the European Union because that cooperation will lead to modernization of Armenia’s legal, political and economic systems.
