Decline to be recorded in construction sector this year - Minister
A decline will be recorded in Armenia’s construction sector this year, Armenian Urban Development Minister Samvel Tadevosyan said during the discussion of the 2014 draft budget, adding that the decline is first of all due to the decrease of the volumes of international credits.
The Minister noted that funds are necessary for activating the construction sector and an interdepartmental working group has been set up by the Prime Minister in order to work out the respective proposals.
“Our priorities include construction of social apartments and provision of long-term credits to construction companies,” Tadevosyan said.
Under the 2014 draft budget, AMD 10 billion 750 million will be allocated to urban development.
