Intelligence officer: Azeri subversions are just a training for Armenian servicemen
Samvel Shahinyan ordered to create the first intelligence unit in 1989. So, he is in a sense the founder of Armenian intelligence. In November-December 1989, he ordered me to form a unit made up of fighters who were bearers of Soviet intelligence traditions and had fought in special units, special unit commander Vladimir Vardanov told reporters in Yerevan.
Senior intelligence officer of the special unit Armen Levonyan, for his part, speaking about efficiency of Armenian forces in response to Azeri subversions, said that the enemy’s actions always meet adequate response.
“Our servicemen are always ready to give a worthy response to the enemy, both during the ceasefire and during possible military operations,” he noted.
According to senior intelligence officer of the special unit Vardan Yenokyan, “Armenians have innate military psychology, which Azerbaijan lacks."
"Azeri subversions are just a training for Armenian servicemen," he stressed.
