2014 budget envisages implementation of serious social projects – Minasyan
The 2014 budget of Armenia will maintain its social direction, Gagik Minasyan, chairman of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly, told a press conference in Yerevan, while commenting on the 2014 draft budget discussions in parliament.
The 2014 budget envisages implementation of serious social projects, according to Minasyan.
“As I have already said, we have nearly an 8 percent growth in the expenditure part of the 2014 budget. The growth is more than 8 percent in several fields such as education, healthcare and social security. We have a 12 percent growth in the education area, 13 percent in healthcare and 18 percent in social security. Significant improvement is planned in these areas, which will concern the majority of the population,” he concluded.
