President Sargsyan issues message to Iranian counterpart
Armenian Energy and Natural Resources Minister Armen Movsisyan has met with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Tehran, the Iranian President’s official website said.
During the meeting, Hassan Rouhani conveyed his thanks to the Armenian President for participating in his inauguration, adding, “Iranian-Armenian relations are sincere and good. I hope that the bilateral relations will be expanded in all areas, in particular in economy and culture.”
Referring to Armenian-Iranian energy projects, Mr Rouhani said, “Given the determination of the Armenian President to develop Armenian-Iranian relations, we hope that we will achieve results soon and these projects will be carried out.”
Armen Movsisyan said for his part that the Armenian President, government and people wish to have good relations with Iran and are determined to develop bilateral relations in the areas of economy and culture as well.
Armen Movsisyan passed Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s message to Hassan Rouhani.
The two also discussed environmental problems concerning the Araks River.
We should remind that a delegation headed by Armenia’s Energy Minister left for Iran on November 4 in order to attend the opening ceremonies of International Water and Wastewater Exhibition (WATEX) and International Electricity Exhibition.
