Iran's deputy trade minister assassinated in Tehran
Iran's deputy trade minister was assassinated in his car in Tehran Sunday night, the government's news agency said, according to CNN.
Safdar Rahmatabadi was shot in the chest and head by an unidentified assailant in Sabalan Square, the Islamic Republic News Agency reported.
The IRNA quoted a police officer at the scene as saying two shell casings were found inside the car, so "the terrorist had most probably been talking with Mr. Rahmatabadi."
Rahmatabadi was deputy minister of industries, mines and trade.
