Iranian President: Armenian lobby can play important role in foreign policy
There is no difference between the Muslims and the religious minorities, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has said, according to ISNA.
Speaking at a meeting with members of Iranian Majlis representing religious minorities, Iran’s President said, in part, “The existing problems will be solved through the Iranian people’s joint efforts. There is no difference between the Muslims and the religious minorities in this matter. Moreover, their lobby, like the Armenian lobby, can play an important role in foreign relations.”
There are no ethnic minorities in Iran and all nations that live in Iran are considered to be Iranians. According to Article 13 of Iran’s Constitution, the Armenians, the Jews and the Zoroastrians are considered religious minorities in Iran and they have members in Iran’s Majlis, they have their church, schools, cultural centers, press, etc.
