Davutoglu: Armenia’s lack of confidence regarding Turkey must be overcome
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has commented on Armenian-Turkish relations in his interview with Turkish NTV channel.
Davutoglu said that at a meeting with visiting Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev they discussed the processes taking place between Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan. He said that Turkey is making efforts to normalize relations with Armenia.
“Armenia’s lack of confidence regarding Turkey must be overcome. At the same time, Azerbaijan’s fair demands must be taken into account,” he said.
The Turkish FM also said that the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan have strengthened their positions after the election processes in their countries, which gives reason to create the conditions for peace in the Caucasus.
