Tigran Sargsyan: Armenia has opportunity to apply to MCC
Armenia has an opportunity to apply again to the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said at today’s cabinet session.
“Washington gave a positive assessment of the Millennium Challenge Corporation program implemented in Armenia. We should thank the U.S. administration because the program had an essential importance for our economy. Now, I wish to inform you that we have an opportunity to apply again to the Millennium Challenge Corporation,” Mr Sargsyan said.
Armenian Finance Minister David Sargsyan was ordered to submit an application to MCC seeking funding.
“However, we must realize that there is little likelihood that MCC will give us funding because many countries apply for MCC funding and the competition will be high,” the PM added.
