Zhoghovurd: Urban Development Ministry spends USD 2,000 on purchase of furniture
Armenia’s Urban Development Ministry headed by Orinats Yerkir member Samvel Tadevosyan spent AMD 872,000 (about USD 2,000) on purchase of new furniture for the Ministry, Zhoghovurd daily says.
Records, seen by the newspaper, show that the Ministry paid AMD 30,000 for a chair and AMD 58,000 for an armchair. The Ministry’s bookcases cost AMD 170,000 and 150,000.
“In fact, despite the tough socio-economic situation in the country, even the Minister representing the most populist party wastes public funds and buys furniture at the expense of the country’s budget,” the newspaper notes.
