US representative to OSCE: There is no alternative to peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict
"We welcome the intention of Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents to meet and discuss the next steps for resolving the conflict. It is the time now to move from words to actions," said Daniel Baer the U.S. OSCE representative on Friday at the meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna.
As reported by "Novosti-Azerbaijan", the U.S. representative also stated that the meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents can give a new stimulus to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process.
According to the diplomat, the U.S., as the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair, remains faithful to the work carried out with the two parties aimed at reaching a peaceful settlement of the conflict.
He added that the United States welcomes the activities of the co-chairs and Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and appreciates their work carried out with the parties of the conflict. "There is no alternative solution to the conflict except peaceful negotiations," said the U.S. diplomat.
