First Lady of Armenia appeals to nation to assist childless couples
The First Lady of Armenia Mrs. Rita Sargsyan has issued a call for national unity to assist families who need help in the field of reproductive medicine, reported the office of the First Lady of Armenia.
“I urge Armenians worldwide and all people of goodwill to support Armenian families with reproductive issues to enjoy the blessing of having children. On the eve of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide, we should repeat Paruyr Sevak’s unforgettable words with utmost resolve: ‘we exist, shall exist, and will multiply manifold.’ And we will do it not in words, but in deeds,” Mrs. Sargsyan stated.
There are numerous Armenian families who are unable to fulfill their dream of having their own children. Infertility undermines their family bliss. In some cases, it may even result in disintegration of the family. However, advances in modern medical science can assist such families and grant them the joy of having a baby.
In this regard, we are pleased that reproductive medicine has registered great successes in Armenia. We now have all the opportunities to provide the necessary medical assistance to families who face infertility problems.
Even though reproductive medical services in Armenia are much more affordable than overseas, for many Armenian families this kind of treatment is a great financial burden. Supporters of Aragil Fund are committed not to let these families face their problems alone.
Mrs. Sargsyan emphasized: “This is an issue which commands national unity. Just as a drop of water reflects the whole ocean, each Armenian family reflects our entire nation. We should lend a hand to all couples who dream of parenthood.”
The Aragil Fund for Reproductive Medicine is a non-profit organization established in 2011. The Fund aims to reduce the demographic problems of Armenia by providing reproductive medical services. The Aragil Fund operates under the high patronage of the First Lady of Armenia, Mrs. Rita Sargsyan.
