Azerbaijan keeps frustrating negotiations – Sharmazanov
Just a few days before the meeting of Armenian and Azeri Presidents, Azeri forces opened fire on Armenia’s border settlements, violating the ceasefire and rejecting the calls and efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs for a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, deputy speaker of Armenian parliament Edward Sharmazanov has said in a statement.
On November 16, at about 12:30 local time, Azeri troops opened fire on civilian cars on a road near the village of Vazashen, Tavush province.
According to Sharmazanov, this once again proves that Azerbaijan keeps frustrating the negotiation process.
“The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and the international community should strongly condemn Azerbaijan’s behavior, which undermines regional peace and stability,” Sharmazanov said.
