Minval.az: ‘‘War of compromising evidence’’ is brewing in Azerbaijani government
“War of compromising evidence” is brewing in Azerbaijani government, and high-ranking officials, their environment, politics, MPs and businessmen can become victims of it, reads the Azerbaijani news portal "Minval.az."
According to the article the groups which have secretly filmed high-ranking officials, politicians and businessmen, send them an encrypted message. In the same time, they are ready to spread these materials.
According to the information received by the newspaper "Yeni Musavat" an extremely narrow circle of people has a lot of video materials about the private life, business meetings, negotiations and agreements reached by the high-ranking politicians and businessmen. The newspaper learned that the footage is filmed mainly at famous resorts and expensive restaurants.
"The video footage has recorded a very wide range of individuals in a variety of situations and conditions. Distribution of these records will cause great scandals. The protagonists of these pictures recorded in different parts of the country, as well as in foreign countries, are officials, politicians, male businessmen accompanied by some ladies well-known in society," the article reads.
The article also notes that those recordings were carried out by the "government order", but later on the representatives of "the filming crew" became interested in collecting serious discrediting evidence on famous people. Later on, realizing that in the future those records may come in handy, the "crew" got engaged in "self-activity." As a result, within several years, a big amount of material was recorded, voice-recordings were made which were vitally important for many well-known people in society.
Many of the officials, who were depicted in the recordings, suspected that they were being filmed, but they were not aware that all their steps that they were trying to hide from the public were virtually being recorded.
"Having received information from various sources about the existence of such records, they realized that someone knows about their private and business life secrets. These were the officials who possessed video records concerning the life of another group of officials and played a role in weakening them and striking them. The injured party made it clear that they can severely take revenge at any moment. The well informed circles regard this as the beginning of a new stage in the compromising materials’ war within ruling circles," writes "Minval.az."
It is noted that the message addressed to a number of "revealed" officials, has caused confusion among them: they fear that these records may someday be published. And even if they do not become public, they can be sent to certain groupings in the government, which will lead to the political death of a number of officials. Therefore some of concerned officials are in search of a way out of this situation, trying to reach an agreement with the one who possesses the compromising evidences, the site reports.
However the officials, who were threatened with the exposure of the recordings, do not know who holds the compromising materials.
They can only make supposition on the matter. But some know approximately where the threat is coming from and understand that this process does not promise them anything good. Therefore, choosing the offensive tactics, they began to send messages to the circles that they suspect most of all, as well as some of the media sources, to structures that could possibly replicate any information, or other mudslinging in response," the material states.
According to the source of the site, the issue concerning the compromising evidence has been revealed now, because in the beginning of the next year, great reshuffling is expected to be done in the government.
"There is no doubt that this incriminating evidence at the time of the possible change can play a decisive role in the fate of a number of officials. Therefore, this incriminating evidence is so important for a group of officials in the government," concludes" Minval.az."
