Armenia’s accession to CU will boost economic development, Vazgen Safaryan says
Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union will be a serious impetus for Armenia’s economic development, Vazgen Safaryan, Chairman of the Union of Native Commodity Producers, told reporters in Yerevan.
Safaryan noted that Armenia prioritizes creation of jobs and modernization of economy and membership to the Customs Union will allow Armenia to reach those goals.
“Armenia took a decision to join the Customs Union, without closing its doors to the European Union,” he said.
According to Safaryan, cooperation with Russia will lead to the development of the real sector of Armenian economy and the 160-million market of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus will open to Armenia.
