Safaryan: Armenia’s entry into Customs Union will lead to SME development
Armenia’s entry into the Customs Union will lead to the development of small and medium enterprises (SME) in Armenia due to the fact that exports of native products to the Customs Union member countries will be facilitated, Vazgen Safaryan, Chairman of the Union of Native Commodity Producers, told a press conference in Yerevan.
According to him, Armenia and Russia have common economic interests, which could boost cooperation between small and medium enterprises of the two countries.
Safaryan noted that Russia is rich in energy resources and raw materials and Armenia could help Russia in scientific technical renovation of its economy.
He also said that accession to the Customs Union will be a serious impetus for the development of Armenia’s economy.
