‘No political problem between Armenia and Iran’
There is no political problem between Armenia and Iran and all our efforts are aimed at development and expansion of economic and cultural cooperation, Armenian Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan said at a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Hamid Chitchian in Yerevan.
“We have a large potential for cooperation, and we should do our utmost to fully use that potential,” Mr Movsisyan said.
“Given the friendly relations between Armenia and Iran, I hope we can expand our ties and use the potential you mentioned. Now, it is important to pass to the practical phase in two major projects - the construction of Meghri HPP and the third high-voltage line,” Hamid Chitchian said for his part.
The sides also discussed joint projects and regional cooperation in the field of electricity, Armenian Energy Ministry’s press service said.
