Ethnic Armenian serviceman killed in Damascus
The body of serviceman of the Syrian army Hakob Ter-Ghazaryan, 25, an ethnic Armenian, was found yesterday following three days of search, Perio News reported.
On November 18, an explosion hit a military center located in a northern district of Damascus, destroying two buildings and killing and injuring dozens.
It took three days to identify the victims.
Over 100,000 people, mostly civilians, have died since the start of a bloody civil war in Syria in March 2011, which began amid massive protests against Assad’s regime. Millions of Syrians have fled the country, and many are now living as refugees in neighboring countries.
