Heritage proposes to curb voting on behalf of absent MPs
Heritage parliamentary faction proposes amending the rules of procedure of Armenian parliament, making punishable voting on behalf of absent MPs. The draft law was approved by Armenian parliament’s Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs and was put on the parliament’s agenda.
Speaking to Panorama.am, Heritage faction head Zaruhi Postanjyan said that the necessity of such amendment emerged long ago. She added that the amendment will allow to curb the habit of MPs to register or vote on behalf of their absent colleagues.
