Syria conflict: Armenian killed in Aleppo rocket attack
An ethnic Armenian, Tigran Manukyan died of wounds sustained in a rocket attack in the Armenian-populated Villaner district of Aleppo, PERIO NEWS said.
Tigran, 24, and 4 other Armenians were injured when rockets hit the Villaner district on November 13. Tigran’s funeral will be held today.
We reported earlier that the body of serviceman of the Syrian army Hakob Ter-Ghazaryan, 25, was found on November 21 following three days of search. On November 18, an explosion hit a military center located in a northern district of Damascus, destroying two buildings and killing and injuring dozens.
65 Armenians have died since the start of a bloody civil war in Syria in March 2011. 179 Armenians were injured, 110 were kidnapped and 2 are missing. 15 ethnic Armenian soldiers were killed in the Syrian conflict.
